- Over 91,000 Electric Two-Wheelers Sold in April, TVS Tops the Chart Despite Market Dip
The Indian electric two-wheeler market witnessed major fluctuations in April, with TVS iQube emerging as the top-selling electric scooter. Beating major players like Ola Electric, Bajaj Chetak, and Ather, TVS led the sales chart with impressive numbers despite an overall market slowdown.
Surge in Annual Sales, Dip in Monthly Numbers
In April, over 91,000 electric two-wheelers were sold across India, marking a 40% year-on-year increase. However, compared to March 2025, there was a 30% drop in monthly sales, indicating a temporary dip in consumer momentum. While Bajaj Chetak had led the charts in March, it dropped to the third position in April, making way for TVS to take the lead. Ola Electric followed closely in second place.
TVS iQube Leads the Pack
TVS Motor Company recorded the highest sales with its iQube electric scooter, selling 19,736 units in April. Though this reflected a 35% month-on-month decline, the iQube still outpaced its rivals in overall numbers.
Mixed Trends Among Top 10 Brands
Among the top 10 electric two-wheeler brands, Kinetic Green was the only company to see stable sales. Ola Electric was the sole brand to record a year-on-year decline, while others, including Hero Vida, Ather, Pure EV, BGauss, and River Mobility, saw annual growth despite a monthly dip.
Notably, Revolt Motors failed to make it to the top 10 list this time.
